Things to do in Falmouth
As activities go, Falmouth Jamaica excursions pack a punch. Within easy reach of the town, you’ll find the Martha Brae Rafting Village, Luminous Lagoon, and Greenwood Great House. Dunn’s River Falls is on everyone’s must-do list but a Mystic Mountain Adventure tour should also be on your radar. The best tours from Falmouth also feature a visit to the off-the-beaten-track Blue Hole Secret Falls, tubing on the Rio Bueno River, and a visit to the Bob Marley Museum in Nine Mile.
History buffs will enjoy the many Georgian-era buildings on show along the waterfront district but to really get a sense of the island’s past, a visit to one of Jamaica’s great houses is a must. Rose Hall Great House and Good Hope Great House are both great examples and worth a visit. You’ll get to learn what life was like here in the 18th century as the country was developing its own identity.
